"A person’s identity is defined by their soul. The identity of a town is defined by the people who inhabit it - they embody its soul. Nermina, a Bosniak, and Marinko, a Serb, have been married for 35 years. They have returned to Srebrenica, a town in the northeast of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Their 35-year union has been blessed with five children. Despite difficult circumstances, they managed to maintain their marriage. While Marinko and Nermina dream of pre-war Srebrenica, a bustling town with a thriving economy, they are living the same reality as their parents did 30 years ago. But this time in peace. They pay the price of living together in a town with a turbulent past and are forced to send their youngest son away from Srebrenica, having already bid farewell to their four older children."
