The training “'Smartphone Documentary Film Production” concluded with the certificate award ceremony
The training was held in collaboration with the Al Jazeera Media Institute from Doha and in partnership with UNFPA and Samsung. Al Jazeera’s video journalist Faris Bajrić led the training.

After the completion of the three-day training “Smartphone Documentary Film Production”,' which was held as a part of the 6th AJB DOC Film Festival, the participants of this educational program were awardee certificates.
The training
was held in collaboration with the Al Jazeera Media Institute from Doha and in
partnership with UNFPA and Samsung. Al
Jazeera’s video journalist Faris Bajrić led the training. He provided the young authors, journalists,
and producers with insights into how they can engage in content creation using
a smartphone for documentary filmmaking.
During the
training session, the participants had the opportunity to understand the
changes in the documentary film industry resulting from the use of new
recording tools and to master the approaches and the initial steps in shooting
and producing documentary films with smartphones. In the coming period, they
will have the opportunity to apply the acquired knowledge, from the idea,
through filming to post-production.
All training
participants have 30 days to develop an idea for shooting a documentary film
with a smartphone.
After the deadline,
the training facilitator and representatives of the organizers will select the
best idea for realization and award a prize of 1500 euros, the prize from Samsung
as a training partner. They will also provide mentoring support during the
filming process.
The produced
documentary film will also have the opportunity to be screened at the next
edition of the AJB DOC Film Festival as part of the "Smart Doc"
selection.
