3rd AJD Industry Days Call for Projects Closed

We would like to thank everyone who submitted their projects.

Extended Call for Projects for the Third AJD Industry Days, which will be held from September 14 to 16, 2024 in Sarajevo, ended on June 15th. 

The Call for Projects was exclusively for documentary filmmakers from the Southeast Europe, the Caucasus, the Middle East, and North Africa (MENA) region or documentary projects dealing with topics from the aforementioned areas.

There are three categories:

- MAIN PITCH - accepting all stages of project development and production by independent filmmakers and production companies 

- ROUGH CUT - projects in the post-production stage, intended for broadcasting on Al Jazeera or other international broadcasters and platforms

- BALKAN STARS - the development stage of projects and production suitable for regional and international co-production with Al Jazeera Balkans/Al Jazeera Documentary or other broadcasters

After final consideration all submitted projects will soon receive feedback from the Organizer.

The total prize fund provided by Al Jazeera Documentary Channel, Al Jazeera Balkans and all project partners in 2023 was 100,000 USD, and comparable prize fund will be allocated in 2024, too.

AJD Industry Days is held alongside the Al Jazeera Balkans Documentary Film Festival (AJB DOC) which became recognized as a unique platform for TV-documentaries regionally and worldwide. AJB DOC Film Festival will be held from 13th to 17th September 2024.
