The Best of AJB DOC @Posušje

Al Jazeera Balkans and the AJB DOC Film Festival, in cooperation with the Municipality of Posušje, organized screenings of the best documentary films from the 7th AJB DOC. These screenings were held on February 19 and 20 in the city cinema hall for primary and secondary school students, and at the Youth Center for the youngest audience.

In addition to the documentary film screenings, a discussion on the topic of media and the challenges of using social networks was held for young people. The discussion featured Edin Smajić, the research and training manager of Al Jazeera Balkans, and was moderated by Jozo Kolobarić, the advisor to the mayor for communication with domestic and international institutions.

As part of the AJB DOC @ Posušje event, the Herzegovinian audience had the opportunity to watch top documentaries showcased at the 7th AJB DOC. This included the documentary "Smiling Georgia" by Luka Beradze, which won the Main Award and was announced as the best film of the festival by the jury, "Prison Beauty Contest" by the well-known Bosnian and Herzegovinian author Srđan Šarenac, and the short documentary "About a Bull" by Emir Solaković.

An excellent collaboration between the Festival and the Municipality of Posušje and its Mayor Ante Begić, had been established earlier. The AJB DOC Film Festival expressed their particular pleasure with their repeat visit to Posušje and the curated selection of top documentaries for the local audience.
